Users have the ability to customise standard templated app assets in CRM Analytics, including dashboards, datasets, recipes, and dataflows. However, please be aware that making customisations to a templated app may affect its functionality. In some cases, the app may not work as expected due to these changes. It's important to note that Salesforce Support will not be able to assist in resolving these issues that arise from customisations made to the templated apps.
A Templated App in CRM Analytics is a pre-built analytics application (such as the Sales Analytics App or Service Analytics App) that can be installed and configured in your org.
If a customized asset is not functioning as expected, first determine whether the issue began after a specific customization by reviewing the change history. Common symptoms include dashboards failing to load, datasets not refreshing, or recipes returning errors.
If customisations breaks and the asset does not work as expected, the recommended solution is to reconfigure the app back to out-of-the-box.
Note: If the app is reconfigured, all existing data assets in the app will be deleted, and any customisations you have made to the app will be overwritten.
