Unable to Add Users to Salesforce Voice Contact Center Due to Invalid Alias Characters

게시 일자: May 28, 2025
상세 설명

Adding users to Salesforce Voice (formerly Service Cloud Voice) fails if the Salesforce User Alias contains unsupported characters. Amazon Connect only accepts alphanumeric characters, underscores, hyphens, and periods.

솔루션

This issue occurs because Amazon Connect automatically provisions usernames for Salesforce Voice users using the format: Salesforce User Alias + "@" + Salesforce User Record ID + "@" + Salesforce Org ID. If the Alias contains characters not supported by Amazon Connect, the provisioning fails and the user cannot be added to the contact center.
To resolve this issue, update the Salesforce User's Alias field to contain only supported characters.

  1. Navigate to Setup and enter "Users" in the Quick Find box, then select Users.
  2. Click Edit next to the user who cannot be added to the contact center.
  3. Update the Alias field to include only the following supported characters: letters a–z and A–Z, digits 0–9, underscore (_), hyphen (-), and period (.).
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Attempt to add the user to the Salesforce Voice contact center again.

Note: Amazon Connect provisions usernames in the format: Salesforce User Alias + "@" + Salesforce User Record ID + "@" + Salesforce Org ID. Ensure the Alias field does not contain full-width characters, special symbols, or spaces.
