Adding users to Salesforce Voice (formerly Service Cloud Voice) fails if the Salesforce User Alias contains unsupported characters. Amazon Connect only accepts alphanumeric characters, underscores, hyphens, and periods.
This issue occurs because Amazon Connect automatically provisions usernames for Salesforce Voice users using the format: Salesforce User Alias + "@" + Salesforce User Record ID + "@" + Salesforce Org ID. If the Alias contains characters not supported by Amazon Connect, the provisioning fails and the user cannot be added to the contact center.
To resolve this issue, update the Salesforce User's Alias field to contain only supported characters.
Note: Amazon Connect provisions usernames in the format: Salesforce User Alias + "@" + Salesforce User Record ID + "@" + Salesforce Org ID. Ensure the Alias field does not contain full-width characters, special symbols, or spaces.
