Salesforce Field Service - "Update Permissions" Button Shows "Permission Set Up To Date" and reverts to "Update Permissions" button.

In App Launcher > Field Service Settings > Permission Sets, when clicking on "Update Permissions," the system displays "Permission Set Up To Date" and reverts to the "Update Permissions" button without completing the update.

解決策

This issue occurs when a custom Permission Set in the org has the same API name as a standard Salesforce Field Service Permission Set. 

Steps to Resolve the Duplicate API Name Conflict

  1. Identify the Problematic Permission:
      - Take note of the permission that is causing the issue. For example, "Field Service Integration."
  2.  Navigate to Permission Sets:
      - Go to Setup > Permission Sets.
  3. Check for Duplicate API Names:
      - Check if there exists a permission set with the same API name. For example, you might have a permission set named "Field Service Integration" and another named "Field Service Integration Test," but both have the same API name of sfdc_fieldservice.
  4. Resolve the Duplicate API Name:
      - Modify the API name of the custom permission set or delete it if it isn't in use.
  5. Update the Permission Set:
      - Go to App Launcher > Field Service Settings > Permission Sets.
      - Update the permission set that was causing the issue (e.g., "Field Service Integration"). The update should be successful.
