This article addresses the issue where Einstein Bot (Enhanced Bot) fails to launch in Messaging for In-App and Web (MIAW). The most common causes are the Einstein Bots toggle being in an incorrect state, the Omni-Channel Flow not routing to the correct bot, or the Messaging Channel not being associated with the correct flow.
Toggling Einstein Bots off and on clears cached state that may prevent the bot from launching. If the toggle does not resolve the issue, verify the Omni-Channel Flow routing configuration and the Messaging Channel association, as these are the most common causes of launch failures.
Step 1: Toggle Einstein Bots Off and On
1. Go to Setup > Einstein Bots.
2. Change the Einstein Bots toggle in the upper right to Off.
* At this point, confirm that the list of bots displayed at the bottom of the screen is hidden.
3. Please wait for about 5 minutes.
4. Change the [Einstein Bots] toggle back to On.
* Confirm that the list of bots reappears.
5. Check if the Einstein Bot launches.
Step 2: Verify Omni-Channel Flow for the Bot
1. Go to Setup > Einstein Bots.
2. Click the bot you want to use.
3. Click the Dialogs tab in the upper left, then switch to the Overview tab.
4. Click the Omni-Channel Flow set in Inbound Omni-Channel Flows.
5. In the "Route Work" action, check if the following are configured:
・Route To: Enhanced Bot
・Enhanced Bot: The bot you want to use
6. Confirm that the flow is Activate.
7. Check if the Einstein Bot launches.
Step 3: Verify Omni-Channel Flow on the Messaging Channel
1. Go to Setup > Messaging Settings.
2. For the Messaging Channel you want to use, click its Channel Name.
3. Check Omni-Channel Routing and confirm that the Flow Definition is set to the same flow that is configured in the Einstein Bot's Inbound Omni-Channel Flows.
4. Check if the Einstein Bot launches.
