Auto Greetings in Enhanced Chat

Live Agent includes Auto Greeting functions. In Enhanced Chat, you can configure similar functions using Messaging Components.

By selecting "Auto-Response" as the type of Messaging Component, you can auto greetings at the start or end of a message.

After creating the Messaging Component, add it to the Automated Responses in your Messaging Settings.

Follow these steps to create Messaging Components:

  1. From Setup, go to Messaging Components.
  2. Click New Component.
  3. Select Auto-Response, then click Next.
  4. Enter the message you want to use for the greeting, then click Next.
  5. Enter the Messaging Component Name and other details, then click Done.

Next, add the created Messaging Component to Automated Responses:

  1. From Setup, go to Messaging Settings.
  2. Select the Channel Name you would like to use.
  3. Add the Messaging Component you created to the Automated Responses.
