Unable to install the data loader

Scenario 1: Command Prompt Disappears During Installation

If the command prompt disappears instantly and prevents you from proceeding with the Data Loader installation, please review the following troubleshooting steps:

• Verify System Requirements: Confirm your PC meets the system requirements outlined in the Data Loader installation considerations.
• Re-extract the Downloaded File: Re-extract the downloaded Data Loader .zip file and attempt the installation again.
• Install Open JDK Version 17: Ensure Open JDK version 17 is installed.
  Windows: Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 17
  macOS: Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 17

• Uninstall Unnecessary Open JDK Versions: If any unnecessary or conflicting Open JDK versions are currently installed, please uninstall them.
• Reinstall Data Loader: Uninstall Data Loader completely, then download it again from the official source, and proceed with the reinstallation.

Scenario 2: Command Prompt Freezes During Installation

If the command prompt freezes during operation and prevents you from proceeding with the installation, please review the following troubleshooting steps:

• Uninstall and Redownload Data Loader: Completely uninstall Data Loader, then download it.
  Uninstall Data Loader
• Follow these specific steps for Command Prompt input:

1. Extract the Data Loader .zip file.
2. Right-click on the Install file. While holding down the Command key (for macOS users, this typically helps bypass security warnings), click Open.
   If a warning message appears, please proceed.　
3. "Do you want to install Data Loader in the current folder ?"
   → Type No and press Enter.
4. “Provide the installation folder [default: dataloader] ”
   → Press Enter without typing anything.
5. llow the installation to proceed to completion.
   Note that this may take some time.
   If a prompt states "If not, installation will quit and you can restart installation using another folder. [Yes/No]", type Yes and press Enter.
6. “Do you want to create a Desktop shortcut? [Yes/No]”
   →Type Yes and press Enter.
7. “Do you want to create a shortcut in Applications folder? [Yes/No]”
   →Type Yes and press Enter.

Scenario 3: Unable to Open install.bat

If you're unable to open the install.bat file, please check the following:

• Run as Administrator: Right-click the install.bat file and select "Run as administrator" to start the installation.
• Install Open JDK Version 17: Ensure Open JDK version 17 is installed.
  Windows: Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 17
  macOS: Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 17
