This explains how to send messages at the end of every month using the Marketing Cloud Engagement Journey Builder. The date of the end of the month varies depending on the month (examples: January 31, February 28, April 30, etc.). How to configure these to correctly schedule them is shown below.
Configuring entry schedules
Set the entry schedule for Journey Builder to the “31st of every month”. For months that do not have a 31st day, this automatically sends the last day of the month (30th or 28th).
Behavior example
Sending is adjusted according to the date of the end of the month as shown below.
Handling when there is not 31 days in the first month of the start of a journey
Handle cases of the first month not containing 31 days (such as when starting a journey in February) as follows.
Start date
Select the end of the month, February 28, from the calendar.
2. Next day
Select “31st of every month”.
