Data 360 Data Storage Counting Bug Fix

Fecha de publicación: Nov 5, 2025
Descripción

On June 17, 2025, we’re fixing a bug that undercounted data storage in Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) sandbox orgs. Previously, the amount of Data 360 sandbox storage used for calculating credit consumption was equal to the amount of storage used by your largest Data 360 sandbox on a given day. Data storage used in other sandboxes wasn’t counted.

Starting on June 17, we’ll sum all storage across your production org and all sandbox orgs to determine the amount of storage evaluated for credit computation calculations on the Data Storage consumption card. For the purposes of this calculation, each org’s storage is equal to the maximum amount of storage it used on a given day. As a result, you may see a jump in usage for data storage starting on June 17.

Starting June 17, we’re also merging Data 360 sandbox consumption cards into the Data 360 production consumption cards, so credits for data storage will be consumed from the same card. For more details on the Data 360 sandbox merge, see Data 360 Sandbox Credit Merge.

This example shows the maximum daily amount of storage used per org per day, and the calculations for calculating storage usage before and after June 17.

Prior to June 17, 2025

Starting on June 17, 2025

Production Org: 3.5 TB

Production Org: 3.5 TB

Sandbox Org A: 1 TB

Sandbox Org A: 1 TB

Sandbox Org B: 1.5 TB

Sandbox Org B: 1.5 TB

Sandbox Org C: 3.5 TB

Sandbox Org C: 3.5 TB

Storage Calculation for Production: 3.5 TB

Storage Calculation for Sandbox: 3.5 TB

Not Counted: 2.5 GB

Storage Calculation: 3.5 TB + 1 TB + 1.5 TB + 3.5 TB = Total 9.5 TB
