게시 일자: Mar 23, 2026
상세 설명

Marketing Cloud Next has different email link rewriting behavior for test vs. production emails.

Type of URLProduction (non-test) EmailsTest Emails
Unsubscribe {$link.EmailAddressOptOutUrl}

The domain for this URL will be a default domain (similar to cdp.tracking.e360.salesforce.com). This URL is never re-written with your custom tracker domain.

In production emails, this URL is unique to recipient's email address and clicking it will mark the recipient's email address as Opted Out from the specific communication subscription

The domain for this URL will be a default domain (similar to cdp.tracking.e360.salesforce.com). This URL is never re-written with your custom tracker domain.

In test emails, this URL is not tied to a recipient's communication subscription consent and clicking it will not unsubscribe the recipient's email nor will it unsubscribe the email address used for testing.

Preference Manager {$link.PreferenceCenterUrl}

The domain for this URL will be your Salesforce org's My Domain.

In production emails, this URL will link to a preference manager page that populates the Sample Recipient's email address. Updates submitted on this page will update Communication Subscription consent for the email address listed in the preference manager page.

The domain for this URL will be your Salesforce org's My Domain.

In test emails, this URL will link to a preference manager page that populates the Sample Recipient's email address. Updates from this preference manager page, will update Communication Subscription consent for the email address listed in the preference manager page (even though this is a test email).

Note: in some situations you may see a default generic BrandyFox@salesforce.com address instead.

Other URLsThese URLs are re-written using default domain (similar to cdp.tracking.e360.salesforce.com) or custom tracking domain.These are not re-written at all.

  • This information is valid for Marketing Cloud Next.
  • For the Marketing App for Salesforce Foundations, Salesforce Pro Suite, and Salesforce Starter, the main difference is there is not any ability to set up a custom tracking domain for email link re-writing so the re-written links will always use the default domain (similar to cdp.tracking.e360.salesforce.com).

Preference Manager FAQs

I see BrandyFox@salesforce.com when I click on View Page from the Preference Pages and Subscriptions page within my Salesforce Org.

  • This is expected behavior as this is only a preview of the default preference page without inputting a recipient's email address.

I see BrandyFox@salesforce.com when I click on the preference manager URL within my test email from Marketing App.

  • As noted in the above table, this can happen in some situations.
    • The most common issue is that the email address associated with the sample recipient selected for the test email does not have a related entry in the Communication Subscription Consent DMO.
    • You can validate this by searching for the sample recipient's email address in the Communication Subscription Consent DMO in Data Explorer.
  • For all production emails,  BrandyFox@salesforce.com will not show up when accessing preference manager URLs.
