When you're working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (MCE) data streams, it’s important to understand how dates are handled and what adjustments will be done automatically by Data 360.
By default, datetime values from MCE are stored in UTC-6 time zone (Central Time). When these values are processed in Data 360 (Formerly Data Cloud), they are automatically converted to UTC time (Coordinated Universal Time). This is done using a formula that adds 6 hours to the datetime values, adjusting them from UTC-6 to UTC.
For more details, you can read about Marketing Cloud Server Time Zone Changes.
You will observe that the Date field from the Data Extension is automatically converted to a Formula field in the Data Stream. You can check which column maps to the field by verifying the Field Label of the Data Stream with the column name in the Data Extension.
