As part of improving Lightning Experience performance, Salesforce is enabling greater utilization of the Content Delivery Network (CDN — a globally distributed network of servers that reduces network roundtrip latency by serving content from the location geographically closest to the user) to resolve Salesforce content faster.
Salesforce is automatically enabling the CDN org preference (setting it to ON) for all orgs that currently have the preference set to OFF. No action is required on your part. This change only affects Salesforce-owned content and will be completed by Salesforce automatically.
While administrators can disable this preference, Salesforce strongly recommends keeping CDN enabled because disabling it can negatively impact Lightning Experience performance.
If your organization needs to disable the CDN preference, follow these steps:
Work with your IT Department to ensure the following domains are added to your organization's allowlist:
