Experience Cloud: HTTPS Certificate Not Updating on Site

Resolve 'Your connection is not private' errors in browser after Experience Cloud certificate updates. 

Risoluzione

If the updated HTTPS certificate is not reflecting on your Experience Cloud site , try one of the following methods  to resolve the issue.

 

Method 1: Resave the Domain Settings 

This action prompts a re-synchronization of the domain settings on the Salesforce backend.

  1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup > Domains.

  2. Click the target domain to open it, and then click Edit.

  3. Click Save without changing any settings.

  4. Wait for several hours and check if the certificate has been updated.

     

Method 2: Temporarily Change Domain Configuration Options 

This procedure resets the domain settings and prompts the certificate to be re-applied.

  1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup > Domains.

  2. Click the target domain to open it, and then click Edit.

  3. Change the Domain Configuration Option to Use a temporary non-HTTPS domain and click Save.

  4. Once the domain is activated, wait about ten minutes. Then, click the domain to open it and click Edit again.

  5. Change the Domain Configuration Option back to Serve the domain from a Salesforce server using an HTTPS certificate, select the certificate again, and click Save.

  6. If necessary, click Activate next to the domain name to ensure it is correctly activated.

     

Method 3: Delete and Re-register the Domain and Custom URL 

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider deleting and re-registering the domain and custom URL.

Note: This process deletes the domain configuration, so proceed with caution. 

If the issue persists after trying these steps, consider contacting Salesforce Support. 

 

Additional Information

When editing the domain settings using these resolution steps, the domain status may become Pending Activation. In that case, click Activate to re-enable the domain.
