Unable to Move Report Columns in Lightning Experience

To change the order of columns in the "Outline" tab on the report edit screen in Lightning Experience, you must enable "Detail Rows". If the "Detail Rows" toggle at the bottom of the report edit screen is off, you cannot reorder columns by dragging and dropping.

Ratkaisu

Follow these steps to adjust the "Detail Rows" setting.

Steps:

  1. Open the target report and click Edit.

  2. In the bottom-left corner of the edit screen, click Detail Rows toggle switch to turn it on.

  3. In the Outline tab, drag and drop any column to the desired position.

  4. Click Save or 'Save & Run' to save your changes.
