What Determines Which Users Appear in the [Recent People] List for a User Lookup Field

This article answers the question of why specific users do or don't appear in the [Recent People] list for a User lookup field.

Conditions for Appearing in [Recent People]

The users displayed as candidates in the [Recent People] list are those who have been viewed via one of the following operations:

1. Viewing a User record displayed in the [People] tab.
2. Viewing [User Detail] from [Setup] | [Users].

Note on List Size

The [Recent People] list displays a maximum of 5 users who were most recently viewed.
