This Knowledge explains the conditions that determine which users are displayed in the [Recent People] list within the Lookup Search for a Lookup Relationship field related to User object.

The users displayed as candidates in [Recent People] list are those who have been viewed via one of the following operations:

Note: [Recent People] list displays a maximum of 5 users who were most recently viewed.

 

  1. Viewing a User record displayed in [People] tab. 
  2. Viewing [User Detail] from [Setup]｜[Users]
