What costs are eliminated?

• The Internal Data Pipeline (IDP) usage type now has a multiplier of zero, meaning no credits are consumed for ingesting structured data from the four supported Salesforce clouds

Are there still other costs involved?

• Yes, while the ingestion itself is now free for the specified connectors and data types, subsequent processes within Data 360, such as harmonization, profile unification, and transformations of the ingested Salesforce data, will still incur costs. The zero-cost policy strictly applies to the ingestion phase.

Does this affect sandbox environments?

• Yes, this should reduce credit consumption in sandbox environments when testing with Salesforce-ingested data

Will I see this reflected in Digital Wallet?

• Given that customers will no longer consume credits for structured data ingested from internal clouds, there will be no Internal Data Pipeline (IDP) usage seen in Digital Wallet for these specific data transfers.

Has the rate card been updated?

• Yes, the Rate Card has been updated to reflect these changes.

Technical Details

Does this apply to both batch and streaming ingestion?

• Yes, the zero cost applies to both batch and streaming pipelines for structured data

What about unstructured data?

• This change is specifically limited to structured data only and only applies to data ingested from internal Salesforce clouds using the specified connectors. Data ingested from external sources (like S3 ARN connector used for GenAI data streams) or unstructured data is not included in this zero-cost policy.

Does this work across all Salesforce industries?

• Yes, as long as those industry solutions use one of the four included connectors

Does this zero-cost ingestion cover inter-region data transfers within Salesforce clouds?

• Yes, if data is ingested from a CRM instance in one region (e.g., CAN65) into Data 360 in another region (e.g., AUS94) using one of the designated internal connectors, it falls under the Internal Data Pipeline and will also be zero credits.

Impact on Other Features

How does this affect Agentforce?

• For Agentforce Data Library, Knowledge ingestion through the internal pipeline won't consume DC credits. However, Data Queries (2 credits/1M rows) for the retriever and Unstructured Data Processing (60/1MB) for the Search Index still apply.

What about CRM Analytics datasets?

• The ingestion of CRM Analytics datasets into Data 360 is unmetered, though subsequent transforms and queries will still consume credits

Does this affect Data 360 One?

• This is still being clarified, as there are ongoing discussions about its applicability to Data 360 One
