Salesforce Voice AWS Resource-Related Error Occurs When Reconnecting to Existing Amazon Connect Instance

Дата публикации: Aug 27, 2025
Описание

When setting up Salesforce Voice (formerly Service Cloud Voice) and selecting the option "Use an existing Amazon Connect instance by entering the instance details", an AWS resource-related error may occur.
This error is caused by AWS resources from a previous contact center that remain in the AWS account. These leftover resources conflict with the new contact center setup and prevent successful provisioning.

Решение
This article explains how to resolve AWS resource conflicts that occur when reusing an existing Amazon Connect instance in Salesforce Voice. The recommended action depends on whether you are reconfiguring after a Sandbox refresh or setting up in a new environment.
Important prerequisite: Each contact center must be linked to its own dedicated Amazon Connect instance. Reusing an existing contact center is not recommended. The errors and resolution steps vary by AWS account configuration, and some of these actions cannot be rolled back.

1. After refreshing a Sandbox
If you need to reconfigure Salesforce Voice after a Sandbox refresh, please follow the procedure described in the Salesforce Voice Implementation Guide below.

2. For all other cases
Please consider creating a contact center with a new Amazon Connect instance using the "(Recommended) Create an Amazon Connect instance" option.
