Why the Related Articles List Component Is Hidden for Guest Users

The 'Related Articles List' component requires access to the Chatter API to fetch and display related articles. For unauthenticated (guest) users on an Experience Cloud site, Chatter API access is disabled by default. Until this access is explicitly granted in the site's Administration workspace, the component will not appear for guest users — regardless of the page layout configuration.

Resolution Steps

To make the 'Related Articles List' component visible to unauthenticated guest users on your Experience Cloud site, grant them access to the Chatter API:

  1. From your site's Workspaces, open Administration.
  2. Navigate to the Preferences tab.
  3. Enable the option Give guest users access to public Chatter API requests.
  4. Click Save.

Additional Information

The 'Related Articles List' component shows articles that are related to the one a user is currently viewing. For this reason, even after applying the setting above, the component may still appear empty if:

  • There are no related articles for the current article, or
  • The current article was published within the last 24 hours.
