Experience Cloud: 'Reset Password' Button Not Displayed on User Detail Page

Дата публикации: Sep 3, 2025
Описание

The Reset Password button on an Experience Cloud user's detail page requires the site to be in an active state to function. When an Experience Cloud site is inactive — for example, after initial creation or following a sandbox refresh — the site's features are in a limited state and administrator-facing controls such as the Reset Password button are hidden. This issue typically occurs if the Experience Cloud site is inactive. When a site is inactive, certain functionalities, including the Reset Password button, are disabled to prevent unauthorized access. Activating the site restores full administrative functionality including the Reset Password button.

Решение

To display the "Reset Password" button, you must activate the Experience Cloud site that the user is a member of. Follow these steps to activate the site:

1. From Setup, enter "Digital Experiences" in the Quick Find box, then select "All Sites".

2. Locate the target site in the list and click Workspaces next to it.

3. In the Workspaces area, click the Administration tile.

4. From the menu on the left, click Settings.

5. In the Settings section, click the Activate button.

After completing these steps, confirm that the "Reset Password" button is now visible on the Experience Cloud user's detail page.
