In Salesforce Visual Remote Assistant (VRA), each org uses a VRA account that is associated with a specific subdomain. When you perform a Sandbox refresh or delete a Sandbox environment, the VRA account that was active in that Sandbox is not automatically deleted.
This means that after a Sandbox refresh, the old VRA account continues to exist, and you cannot create a new VRA account using the same subdomain until the original account has been fully deleted.
This article explains the important considerations before deleting a VRA account, and the steps to delete it correctly.

Important Considerations Before Deleting a VRA Account

Read the following carefully before proceeding with any VRA account deletion:

  • Deleting a VRA account may take up to 72 hours to complete. During this time, the subdomain remains in use.
  • If a Sandbox environment is deleted or refreshed while the VRA account is still active, the VRA account is NOT automatically deleted.
  • Until the VRA account is fully deleted, you cannot create a new VRA account using the same subdomain.

Deletion Procedure

  1. From the App Launcher, open the Visual Remote Assistant - Admin app.
  2. Open Visual Remote Assistant Configuration.
  3. From the menu, select Account Activation.
  4. Under Manage Account, click Delete Account.

After initiating deletion, allow up to 72 hours for the process to complete before attempting to create a new VRA account with the same subdomain.

When to Contact Salesforce Support

Contact Salesforce Support in any of the following situations:

  • You refreshed or deleted a Sandbox environment without first deleting the VRA account.
  • More than 72 hours have passed since you initiated account deletion, but you still cannot use the same subdomain to create a new VRA account.
  • You need to confirm the latest deletion procedure, as this process is subject to change.
