Standard Behavior: Reports Only Display Existing Records

It is the standard behavior of Salesforce reports not to display a "0" for items or groupings where no corresponding records exist.

Salesforce reports are designed to aggregate and display data based on records that exist within your organization.

Therefore, the product's standard functionality is unable to show a "0" for data items that have no associated records.

This is because reports are intended to visualize actual data, not represent the absence of data.

Lösung

This is a known limitation of Salesforce Reports. Currently, Salesforce reports do not display a value of '0' for groupings or items that have no associated records, because reports are designed to display existing data rather than the absence of data.

Workaround Options

  1. Use a summary formula to calculate totals that could surface zero values,
  2. Export the report to Excel and manually add zero-value rows,
  3. Use a custom report type with a formula field to default null values to 0
