ActiveMQserver keeps crashing

Tableau Server Messaging Service (ActiveMQ server) may crash following a Tableau Server restart or upgrade, causing disk space exhaustion and leading to a degraded system status that impacts end-users.

Lösning
  1. Verify whether the antivirus is excluded from scanning Tableau server folders. Refer to the article: Improve Tableau Server Performance by Using Antivirus Exclusions 
  2. Disable ActiveMQ and MessageBus processes by running the following commands:
    1. tsm topology set-process -pr activemqserver -n node1 -c 0
    2. tsm configuration set -k features.MessageBusEnabled -v false
    3. tsm configuration set -k features.ActiveMQ -v false
    4. tsm pending-changes apply.
  3. Rename the 'kahadb' folder located in the Tableau server directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Server\data\tabsvc\activemqserver\0).
  4. Re-enable ActiveMQ and MessageBus processes by running the following commands:
    1. tsm topology set-process -pr activemqserver -n node1 -c 1
    2. tsm configuration set -k features.ActiveMQ -v true
    3. tsm configuration set -k features.MessageBusEnabled -v true
    4. tsm pending-changes apply
    5. tsm status -v
