A lead-generating form creates a Lead object in the Marketing App. This happens immediately after the form submission. A "Send Email Action" can be included in the flow after the "Create Lead" and "Create Consent" actions have run. However, if the email content being sent includes any merge fields, a wait element of at least 24 hours has to be added before the send email action. This is because merge fields are based off of the Unified Individual Object. For a Unified Individual to be created for a new lead, the Identity Resolution (IR) Ruleset has to be run. The 24 hour wait element is required to give the IR rules time to run and create the Unified Individual.
If an immediate email send is required after a form submission, don't include any Unified Individual merge fields in the email content.
Note: If a merge field was added to an email and saved, a Data Graph will be permanently associated with this email. This means that any email that at one point included a merge field, won't be sendable from a form triggered flow without a wait element. A new email will have to be created, and no merge fields can be added at any point to successfully send emails immediately in a form triggered flow.
