Filter Logic For Data Mapper Extract.

The Data Mapper Extract designer adjusts filter logic when a new OR filter is inserted between existing filters. For instance, if users add an OR filter between two AND filters, and there is an OR filter right after, the newly added OR filter is merged with the subsequent OR filter.

To illustrate this, let’s assume that users have created a Data Mapper Extract with the Account object like below :

When users add an OR filter between BillingState and BillingCity, the designer places the newly added filter after BillingCity. Additionally, the existing OR filter for Phone is changed to an AND filter like this, as the newly added filter is merged with the existing OR filter.

Notice that the newly added filter is placed before the Phone filter. Additionally, the operator for the Phone filter changed from OR to AND.

If users add the new OR filter at the end, no such change is made.

If users add an OR filter between two existing AND filters, and there’s no OR filter right after the existing filters, the newly created OR filter is placed at the end. 

It is recommended that when users add an OR filter, add it towards the end of a Data Mapper Extract.
