FLEX CREDITS RATE CARD UPDATES

The Flex Credit Rate Card changes are relevant to Customers that purchased an Agentforce 1 Edition product or an Agentforce for Sales, Service or Industries Add-on product.  As of October 24, 2025, these customers will no longer require Einstein Requests for these Services and will instead require Flex Credits outside the scope of unmetered employee AI usage. With this change, new usage types and associated multipliers will be added to the Flex Credit Rate Card which will be materially on par to Einstein Requests pricing for the same usage.

Why are we making this change?

We are committed to evolving and innovating our offerings to better serve our customers’ business needs and continuously add more value. We are updating the Agentforce consumption model by transitioning Einstein Requests to our new, unified AI currency, Flex Credits. Moving to a single credit system with Flex Credits gives flexibility and simplicity by allowing you to use a single credit system for AI usage.  This results in greater pricing consistency and a simplified way to track and manage AI usage. Note that you will still need Data Cloud and Data Services Credits to support your AI usage.

Which SKUs are being impacted?

Agentforce for Sales, Service and Industries add-ons and Agentforce 1 Edition licenses: For customers with these Services, Einstein Request usage will discontinue. Some usage that consumed Einstein Requests will no longer be metered and other AI usage, that is outside the scope of unmetered employee AI usage, will be tracked and billed with Flex Credits.

What do I need to do?

Existing customers that have Agentforce for Sales, Service and Industries add-ons or Agentforce 1 Edition do not need to take any action. They will automatically no longer consume Einstein Requests and only consume Flex Credits on the migration date.

Will usage types and multipliers change with Flex Credits?

Existing multipliers for Actions are not being changed with this update, however, new usage types and associated multipliers for Prompts are being added as a separate category of Usage Type for generative AI features. The Prompts Usage Types will only apply to Customers who have migrated off of Einstein Requests. Customers with products that still consume Einstein Requests will not be subject to the multipliers for the Prompts Usage Types. See the FAQ details below on Einstein Request Rate Card Updates below for details on changes impacting Einstein Requests.

What are the new Prompt usage types and multipliers?

The Prompt usage types are added with the switch from metering generative AI usage with Einstein Requests to metering with Flex Credits. Consumption associated with Prompts is independent of consumption of Flex Credits for Actions. Actions are for a separate set of features and will still be consumed where relevant. The Flex Credits rate card will be updated to reflect Usage Types of Starter (Bring Your Own) Prompts and three tiers of Salesforce Foundational LLMs for Basic Prompts, Standard Prompts and Advanced Prompts. The new Prompt Usage Types are associated with the chosen LLM used and API call size factor associated with the size of the API call made through the LLM gateway. For each API call made, Flex Credits will be consumed at a rate that corresponds to the LLM model that is selected.

LLM models associated with the new Prompt Usage Types are listed below. More information about the models that align to each Prompt Usage Type will be set forth in the Help and Training Documentation accessible from the Flex Credits Rate card on the migration date.

What happens with my unused Einstein Requests?

Customers can swap unused Einstein Requests for Flex Credits. Reach out to your Account Executive to get started. Please note that Einstein Requests embedded within any products you purchased will not be eligible for swap.

EINSTEIN REQUEST RATE CARD FAQ

Exactly what changes are going into effect and when?

The Einstein Requests Rate Card changes are relevant to Customers that purchased any of the Services listed below. With this change, most features that currently use Einstein Requests across Tableau Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and MuleSoft will become unmetered and new usage types and multiplier updates will be made to the Einstein Request rate card as described below.

Why are we making this change?

We are committed to evolving and innovating our offerings to better serve our customers’ business needs and continuously add more value. We are updating the Agentforce consumption model by transitioning Einstein Requests to our new, unified AI currency, Flex Credits for our Agentforce 1 Edition and Agentforce for Sales/Service and Industries Add-on customers by moving to a single credit system with Flex Credits. To maintain consistency, we are also making corresponding updates to the Einstein Requests Rate Card.

Which SKUs are being impacted by the Einstein Request Rate Card Updates?

Any of the Tableau Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and MuleSoft products listed below purchased prior to October 24 will have many features that will no longer consume Einstein Requests. Any features that remain metered will continue to consume Einstein Requests in accordance with the Einstein Requests Rate Card.

  • MuleSoft: Anypoint Starter, Anypoint Advanced, Automation, API Management
  • Revenue Cloud: Revenue Cloud Advanced
  • Commerce Cloud: Commerce Cloud - B2C - Premium, Commerce Cloud - D2C Growth, Commerce Cloud Growth, Commerce Cloud Advanced
  • Marketing Cloud: Marketing Cloud Advanced, Marketing Cloud Growth, Marketing Intelligence, MC Engagement+, MC Intelligence+
  • Tableau: Tableau Plus, Tableau Next

In addition, Einstein Requests will continue to be metered by Customers that have the following products:

  • Agentforce Services that consume Conversations
  • Salesforce Foundations - Entitlements - Flex Credits.  Note, this is the version launched before October 24, 2025 and the Flex Credits consumed are only for Actions, not Prompts.
  • Einstein for Sales, Service, Field Service or Platform Add-ons
  • Einstein 1 Edition

Resources on feature metering will be posted in October with the October launch and accessible from the Einstein Request Rate Card.

What do I need to do?

No action is required on your part and you can continue to use your products as you currently do, subject to the multiplier changes.

Will existing multipliers change in the Einstein Request Rate Card?

The existing multiplier for Starter will be reduced, while the existing multiplier for Standard will remain the same. These changes, along with the addition of new usage types, are described below.

Will new usage types be added to the Einstein Request Rate Card?

Yes. The Einstein Request Rate Card will be updated to create a new Usage Type for Basic and Advanced for Salesforce Foundational LLMs. These are new tiers for prompts that provide more granular billing. This gives Customers more control over their consumption as each usage type corresponds to the LLM model that is selected. Usage calculations include a usage type multiplier associated with the LLM used and an API call size factor associated with the size of the API call.

The refreshed Rate Cards are designed so that customers will see no price increase. For Bring Your Own LLM we are lowering the multiplier from 7 to 4 to offer more competitive pricing for these use cases. Standard Prompts will continue at a multiplier of 10. For hosted models, we are introducing two additional usage types to create a three tier framework that aligns price to value.

We are introducing Basic Prompts and moving smaller, optimized models to this tier. Basic Prompts will have a multiplier of 4. Finally, we’re introducing Advanced Prompts that will have a multiplier of 38. Currently, no hosted models will be in the Advanced tier. New, high performing models may be mapped to this tier as they reach the market in the future.

The addition of these new usage types are designed to align with the updates to the Flex Credit Rate Card for Prompts as described above. Details on consumption for each Usage Type will be described in our Help & Training Documentation accessible from the Einstein Request Rate Card on October 24.

How many tokens will be included with each LLM call?

2,000 tokens will be included. Requests larger than 2,000 tokens will trigger additional multipliers as needed. This is the same as the 2,000 tokens that were included prior to the usage type update.

How do the new Usage Types work?

Consider a 2K token prompt that uses a Standard model. Under Einstein Requests, this prompt would consume 10 Einstein Requests (today’s list price of $0.02 USD).

What do I consume if I purchased Salesforce Foundations - Entitlements - Flex Credits?

If you purchased the version of Salesforce Foundations - Entitlements - Flex Credits prior to October 24, 2025, you will still consume both Einstein Requests and Flex Credits. Einstein Requests will be consumed for generative AI usage. Flex Credits will be consumed for Actions. You will not, however, consume Flex Credits for Prompts and this part of the Flex Credits Rate Card will not apply to you.

What do I consume if I purchased Agentforce Services which consume Conversations?

If you purchased an Agentforce Service that consumed Conversations, then you will still consume both Einstein Requests and Conversations. Einstein Requests will be consumed for generative AI usage.
