Users may encounter issues where Quip documents linked to Salesforce data intermittently display a “Record Error” in the document title, or where Live apps within Quip documents fail to load correctly. These issues can persist even after clearing the browser cache or reconnecting to the external data source in Quip.

  1. Ask your Salesforce admin to install the Quip Connected App in your Salesforce org.
  2. Enable the API Enabled permission under System Permissions in the Quip permission set.
  3. Once steps 1 and 2 are complete, user should clear the browser cache (for all time) and re-authenticate Salesforce to Quip.
  4. If the issue continues, log a support case with Quip Support via help.salesforce.com.
