Description

Help Text for Rich Text Area fields is not displayed when:

  • creating records from Global Actions
  • creating records from the Chatter Publisher
  • record creation forms on Experience Cloud sites

This behavior is working as designed.

Résolution

As this is working as designed, please consider the following workarounds:

  • Change the data type
    Change the data type of the field from 'Rich Text Area' to 'Long Text Area'. The help text will then be displayed correctly.

  • Modify the field's display label
    Include the desired help text content directly in the field label itself.
