Unable to Find Salesforce Flow in Change Set Components

Udgivelsesdato: Oct 7, 2025
Beskrivelse

When migrating a flow using a change set, there are cases in which you can't find the flow in [Change Set Components].

The key is to select [Flow Definition] in [Component Type:] , and then use the Flow API Name, not the Flow Label, to find it.

Løsning

In Outbound Change Sets, flows are listed under Flow Definition, not just Flow.

When adding a flow to a change set, select [Flow Definition] in [Component Type:].

    • After creating an Outbound Change Set follow below steps to add a flow in change set component.

Steps:

  • Go to Setup → Outbound Change Sets
  • Open your change set
  • Click Add
  • In Component Type, select Flow Definition
  • Search for your flow and add it
  • Once you select [Flow Definition], the flow's name in the [Name] column will appear as the Flow API Name, not the Flow Label.

To find the Flow API Name, open the flow and click the gear icon at the top of the screen, or from the Flows list view ( [Setup] | [Flows] ), click [▼] on the right side of the flow's row and select [View Details and Versions].

Note:

If the flow has been already added to a Change Set, the flow will not be displayed in the component list even if you select [Flow Definition] in [Component Type:].
