Applying Discounts to Opportunity Products

Sales reps who need to offer discounts on specific opportunity line items may find that the Discount field is not visible by default. This typically happens when the Opportunity Product page layout has not been configured to include the Discount field. This guide walks through the configuration steps in Setup.

 

Learn how to specify discount rates (%) for individual items by adding the standard Discount field to the page layout. 

Solución

Add the Discount Field to the Page Layout

 

To apply a discount to an Opportunity Product, you must add the Discount field to the Opportunity Product page layout.

 

  1. Click the gear icon and select [ Setup ].

  2. Click the [ Object Manager]  tab.

  3. Select [ Opportunity Product]  from the list of objects.

  4. Select [ Page Layouts ]  in the left menu.

  5. Select the target [ Opportunity Product Layout ].

  6. Drag the Discount field from the palette at the top and drop it into the desired location within the layout.

  7. Click [ Save] .
