Learn why search results in a Sales Cloud List View differ based on the sort field. This behavior is caused by the search limit of the first 2,000 records displayed.
List view searches are limited to the first 2,000 records that match the filter criteria.
If a list view contains more than 2,000 records, the records displayed on the screen change depending on the sort criteria, which may cause the search results to vary.
This is the expected behavior for list views.
Please consider one of the following workarounds:
Add Filters to the List View
Refine the list view filters to narrow down the target records to 2,000 or fewer.
Use Global Search
Search using the global search box at the top of the screen. Global search scans all records for the object.
