Error when debugging Activity-Object Matching Flow; this.stagedEmailId is null

This error will occur when debugging an Activity-Object Matching Flow;

An unhandled fault has occurred in this flow
An unhandled fault has occurred while processing the flow. Please contact your system administrator for more information.

Error Occurred: Missing required input parameter: activityId Cannot invoke "String.startsWith(String)" because "this.stagedEmailId" is null

This  happens when the activityId field of the Debug flow form is empty.

 

Solución

Why This Happens

The stagedEmailId field is only automatically populated during the normal email capture process in Einstein Activity Capture. When you debug the Activity-Object Matching Flow manually and leave the activityId field of the Debug flow form empty, there is no stagedEmailId available, which causes this error.

How to Fix It

Use the developer console to query StagedEmail records and retrieve an Id to put in the activityId field of the Debug flow form.

  1. Run the following query: select id, IsDeleted, SystemModStamp from StagedEmail
  2. Use one of the retrieved StagedEmail Ids as the activityId input variable when debugging the flow.
