과업

You want to understand why your daily delivered platform events limit was exceeded and get insights into the cause

단계
  1. Go to Setup (the gear icon in the top right, then select Setup).
  2. In the Quick Find box, type 'Platform Event Usage' and select it.
  3. Review the daily usage for platform events. This will show you which events are consuming the most volume.
  4. Examine the 'Events Published' column to see the total number of events published.
  5. Check the 'Events Delivered' column to see the total number of events consumed by subscribers.
  6. Identify any spikes in event publication or delivery around the dates the limit was exceeded.
  7. Investigate any recent changes or deployments in your org that might have increased platform event usage, such as new integrations, flows, or Apex triggers.
  8. Check your platform event monitoring logs for more detailed information on event publication and subscription.
  9. Consider using Transaction Security policies to monitor and control platform event usage if specific events are causing the limit to be exceeded.

Insights/Root Cause Analysis:

  • Based on the event spikes identified in steps 6 & 7, determine if the cause was a faulty integration, an infinite event-publishing loop (e.g., flow/trigger recursion), or a legitimate, but unbudgeted, business process increase

Next Steps/Mitigation:

  • If the limit is consistently reached due to legitimate business needs, contact your Salesforce Account Executive to discuss purchasing a higher event allotment.
  • If due to a bug, fix the underlying code/flow.
