This article explains the specifications of the "Team" related list displayed on the user detail pages found under [Setup] | [Users]. Based on the user's [Manager] field setting, this related list displays the user's manager, peers (users with the same manager), and direct reports (users who have this user set as their manager).
The Team related list on the User detail page is a feature that displays related users within the organizational hierarchy based on the configuration of a user's Manager field.
The following users are displayed in this related list:
The user referenced in their own [>Manager]field (the user's manager).
Users who reference the same user in their [>Manager] field (colleagues/peers).
Users who reference the user in their [Manager]field (the user's direct reports).
Note: User roles and account teams are not directly related to the display logic of this specific related list.
