This article explains the behavior where Lightning Experience appears at login, even when the user wants Salesforce Classic to always display, in organizations where both interfaces are enabled.
Salesforce does not provide a feature to force a specific interface (Lightning Experience or Salesforce Classic) as the default at login.
In organizations where both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic are enabled, Salesforce remembers the user interface that was active when the user logged out. The next time the user logs in, the interface (UI) from the previous logout will be displayed.
Therefore, if Lightning Experience appears at login, it is because the user logged out from the Lightning Experience screen during their last session.
To ensure the Salesforce Classic screen persists at login, you must verify and implement the following two points:
When both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic are enabled, the interface used at the last logout is saved and will be displayed at the next login. Therefore, to maintain the Classic screen, please log out while the Classic screen is displayed.
If "Switch users to Lightning Experience on a regular basis" is enabled, an automatic switch to Lightning Experience will occur.
Please follow the steps below to confirm that this feature is disabled:
