In Salesforce CMS Workspaces, contributor role permissions (such as Content Author, Content Manager, and Content Admin) interact with the Salesforce organization's role hierarchy. A user with the "Content Author" role may be able to publish content if a user with stronger permissions (such as Content Admin or Content Manager) is placed lower in the org's role hierarchy than the Content Author. This causes the Content Author to inherit the more permissive access level from the lower-hierarchy role.
