Data-Stream CRM Refresh History

Date de publication: Oct 28, 2025
Description

When we connect Salesforce Data 360 (or “Data Cloud”) to CRM and create a data stream to bring CRM records in, we sometimes see that the refresh takes longer time than expected. While many syncs complete in around 15, 30 or 60 minutes, on occasion, they can stretch to 3 hours or more.

Résolution

This behaviour is expected. The duration can vary — sometimes the sync is faster, sometimes slower — depending on system configuration and data volume.

Key factors that impact ingestion (and therefore duration):

  • Number of columns/fields in the data stream
  • Number of rows or total records being synced
  • Overall size of the dataset
  • Presence of complex fields (e.g., formula fields)
  • Other system-load or processing conditions

Because each data stream is unique (with its own fields and volume), it is not suggested to compare refresh times across different streams. Each run will have its own parameters and performance profile.
