Salesforce Flow Deletion Fails with Internal Server Error Due to Existing Interview References

Udgivelsesdato: Dec 4, 2025
Beskrivelse

When trying to delete a Salesforce Flow, users might receive the following error message:

"An internal server error has occurred. The salesforce.com support team has been notified of the problem."
Error ID: 22257339-28606 (-1139067395) Or 1119564065-46408 (-1139067395)

This error typically indicates that there are failed Flow interviews referencing the Flow version being deleted. As long as these interview records exist, Salesforce prevents the deletion of the associated flow metadata.

Løsning

To resolve the "An internal server error as occurred" when trying to delete a Salesforce Flow,  perform the following steps:

  1. Identify any Flow Interview records linked to the Flow you are trying to delete.
  • Go to Setup in Salesforce.
  • In the Quick Find box, search for Paused and Failed Flow Interviews.
  • Open the Paused and Failed Flow Interviews page.
  • Locate the interviews associated with the specific flow you are trying to delete.
  • Click on each related interview record.
  • Select Delete to remove the interview reference.

    2. Delete all associated Paused and Failed interview references (either manually or via a data tool like SOQL, Workbench, or Data Loader).
    3. Once all paused and failed interview references are removed, retry deleting the Flow.
    4. The Flow should now delete successfully without triggering an internal server error.
