When a Task is created and its Owner is set to a Queue, members of that Queue are unable to edit the Task. When Queue members attempt to edit the Task, they encounter the below error. This error means that the user does not have enough access to the object
Error : Insufficient access rights on object id
Ensure that "Edit" on Task is enabled in the user’s Profile
This issue is caused by Restriction Rules on the Task object which block Queue members from editing Tasks owned by the Queue, even when standard sharing and permissions are correctly configured.
Note: If the Activity Sharing Setting is set to "Controlled by Parent", the user must also have Edit access on the related record (e.g. Account, Opportunity) for full edit rights on the Task. However, even with this access, Restriction Rules override and cause the "Insufficient access rights on object id" error.
