Salesforce Voice - Cannot Delete VoiceCall Record

When trying to delete a VoiceCall record in Salesforce Voice (formerly Service Cloud Voice), the error "Your attempt to delete VC-xxxxxxxx could not be completed because it is associated with the following engagement attendees.: EA-xxxxxxxx" may occur. This happens because an EngagementAttendee record is linked to the VoiceCall record.

Løsning

VoiceCall records associated with EngagementAttendee records cannot be deleted directly. To perform the deletion, you must first delete the related EngagementAttendee record.

Follow these steps to delete the VoiceCall record with Salesforce Voice:

1. Copy the Engagement Attendee ID (e.g., EA-xxxxxxxx) displayed in the error message.
2. Click the App Launcher (9 dots icon) in the top left corner.
3. Enter "Engagement Attendees" in the search bar and select the item.
4. From the list view, find and click the record matching the ID from step 1.
5. Click the Delete action on the record page to delete the record.
6. Return to the VoiceCall record (e.g., VC-xxxxxxxx) where the error occurred.
7. Click Delete again and confirm that the record is deleted successfully.

Before deleting records in your production environment, always verify the potential impact on your business operations by testing in a Sandbox or similar test environment first.
