Salesforce Voice - Cannot Delete VoiceCall Record

When attempting to delete a VoiceCall record in Salesforce Voice (formerly Service Cloud Voice), the following error may appear:

"Your attempt to delete VC-xxxxxxxx could not be completed because it is associated with the following engagement attendees.: EA-xxxxxxxx"

Why This Happens
This error occurs because an EngagementAttendee record is linked to the VoiceCall record. VoiceCall records that are associated with EngagementAttendee records cannot be deleted directly. You must first delete the related EngagementAttendee record before the VoiceCall deletion can succeed.

Lösning

To delete the VoiceCall record in Salesforce Voice, you must first delete the associated EngagementAttendee record. Follow the steps below.
Steps to Delete a VoiceCall Record with a Linked EngagementAttendee

  1. Copy the Engagement Attendee ID (for example, EA-xxxxxxxx) displayed in the error message.
  2. Click the App Launcher (9 dots icon) in the top-left corner.
  3. In the search bar, enter "Engagement Attendees" and select the item from the results.
  4. From the list view, find and click the record matching the ID copied in step 1.
  5. Click the Delete action on the record page to delete the EngagementAttendee record.
  6. Return to the original VoiceCall record (for example, VC-xxxxxxxx).
  7. Click Delete again and confirm. The VoiceCall record is now deleted successfully.

Important: Before deleting records in your production environment, always verify the potential impact on your business operations by testing in a Sandbox or similar test environment first.
