Some "OneDrive (shared with you)" Files are Unexpectedly Missing When Using the OneDrive and SharePoint connector in Tableau

When connecting to data using the OneDrive and SharePoint connector in Tableau, files listed in the "OneDrive (shared with you)" tab are unexpectedly missing. 

 

Environment

  • Tableau Desktop
  • Tableau Cloud
  • Tableau Server
  • Tableau Prep Builder

 

Cause

This issue stems from a third party change made by Microsoft to the now deprecated 'sharedWithMe' API.

Tableau development is investigating in-product resolution options. See Known Issue ID W-20518541.

Solución

Solution deployed, see Known Issue ID W-20518541

  • A solution has been deployed that utilizes different API's
  • The new API used limits the Features for this to Business and School Accounts only.
    • Personal Accounts will continue to encounter this issue
  • No Tableau Upgrade should be necessary at this time
