Description
The user encountered an issue where they were unable to connect from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server. The error occurred when attempting to open a workbook on Desktop from the Server, displaying the message 'An error occurred when loading from the Tableau Server. A communication (403) has occurred'.
Résolution
1. Verify the affected user's site role on Tableau Server. If the site role is set to 'viewer', update it to 'creator' to grant the necessary permissions. 2. Test the connection from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server after updating the site role to ensure the issue is resolved.
