This type of error is observed when a user does not have the required access policies assigned in Data Governance.

A user with access to the Data Governance tab within the Data Cloud app, should first check if the default All Data Access Ruleset policy is present:

  • Open the Data Governance tab (Note: if you do not see this tab ensure the tab is not hidden for your user's profile - see Data Cloud: Object Tabs are Missing).
  • Open Policies and then look for a All Data Access Ruleset policy on the Custom Policies list view.

If you do not see this policy, you can follow the steps in Create an Allow All Policy in Data 360 to create a policy that will give users access to all objects in Data 360. If you are using custom policies, then ensure that the user encountering the error has a policy assigned that grants them access to the object you are attempting to view in Data Explorer or Query Editor.

Reach out to Salesforce Support if updating your Data Governance policies does not resolve the error.
