If you encounter the following error in Data Cloud while attempting to set up a new Salesforce CRM connector—even after adding all required permission sets—please follow the Resolution Steps provided in the Resolution section of the article to resolve the issue.
Error: "Your Salesforce org cannot be connected right now. Try again later."
Steps to Reproduce:
To resolve the issue, please use one of the two workarounds below to create a new CRM connection successfully:
1. Update the Referrer Policy
- Change the referrer policy for the org to origin-when-cross-origin, then try to establish the connection again.
To do so, go to Setup> Session Settings> update the referrer policy as 'origin-when-cross-origin'.
You may revert to the policy after the connection has been successfully established.
2. Link the Org with Chrome DevTools Open
- If the first step does not resolve the issue, open Chrome DevTools (right-click and select Inspect), then attempt to link the org again while DevTools is open.
Once the above steps are followed, you should be able to create new CRM connections in Data Cloud setup successfully.
