Mappable Field Data Types for Reporting Snapshots

When setting up a Reporting Snapshot to track weekly pipeline changes, an admin must create custom object fields that match the data types of the source report columns. For example, a Currency column can only be mapped to a Currency, Number, Text, or Textarea field.

If creating custom object for snapshot purpose, it's useful to know which data types are mappable to report columns in advance.

Additionally, following data types can not be used for mapping fields in reporting snapshots.

  • Multiple Picklists
  • Long Text Area
  • Rich Text Area
  • Object Relationship
