To meet the requirements described in Best practices for site admin accounts, you may need to configure two or more MFA verification methods.
Tableau Cloud typically allows only one mobile device to be registered under the standard Salesforce Authenticator method.
If you wish to register Salesforce Authenticator on additional mobile devices, you must use an alternative registration method.
Register the first device using the Salesforce Authenticator method. For any additional devices, use the One-Time Password Generator method.
Note: When verifying via the One-Time Password Generator method, you must manually enter the 6-digit Verification Code displayed in the app. The push notification feature (one-tap approval) is not available for devices registered this way.
Next time you log in, if multiple verification methods are registered, you can switch devices by selecting the Choose Another Verification Method link on the MFA verification screen.
