Learn how to uninstall the Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) package and resolve dependency errors by removing permission sets, deactivating flows, and clearing other configurations.
To uninstall the Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) package, you must first remove its configurations by following the steps below.
1. Uninstall the VRA Scheduling Package
If the VRA Scheduling package is installed, it must be uninstalled before the VRA package. First, perform the following configuration removals:
Permission Sets: Remove all user assignments for the following permission sets:
VRA Scheduling
VRA Experiences Sites
Flows: Deactivate the following flows:
VRA_Send_Reminder_Notification_to_Assigned_Resource
VRA_Manage_Deleted_SAs
After removing these configurations, uninstall the VRA Scheduling package.
2. Uninstall the Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) Package
Next, remove the configurations for the Visual Remote Assistant (VRA) package.
Permission Sets: Remove all user assignments for the following permission sets:
RemoteExpert
VRA Community End User
Flows: Deactivate the following flows:
VRA_Self_Service_Image_Notification
VRA_Session_Request_Channel
Send_Session_Invite
VRA_End_User_Session_Request
VRA_Retrieve_Session_Recording_Screen_Flow
Retrieve_by_specific_Reference_ID
Delete_Images_Flow
VRA_Trigger_Retrieval_of_Session_Recording
Process Builder: Deactivate the following process:
Visual Remote Assistant Reports
After removing these configurations, proceed with the uninstallation.
3. Resolving Specific Error Messages
If you encounter the error "Cannot uninstall package," click the link in the error message to view the dependencies and resolve them as follows:
"This permission set is assigned to one or more users..." Remove all user assignments from the specified permission set.
"The flow is active..." Deactivate the specified flow.
"This component is used elsewhere... (Remove from Community)" Open the relevant site in Experience Builder and remove the referenced component.
"An external component refers to a component in this package..."
Template Setting MetaData for Live Agent [tspa]: Delete it.
Flow Definition: Delete it.
Service Channel: Delete it.
Lightning Page: Edit the page in the Lightning App Builder and remove the component.
Utility Bar: This cannot be removed via the Lightning App Builder. Follow these steps to remove it:
Go to Setup > App Manager.
Click the dropdown arrow ▼ next to the relevant app (e.g., LightningSales) and select Edit.
Click Utility Items (Desktop Only).
Remove the referenced VRA component.
