This document clarifies how destination email addresses are determined for ETL Job error notifications and Signal Alerts within Marketing Cloud Personalization's Guardian feature.
Guardian notification settings are managed on a per-user basis. There is no field within the Guardian interface to manually input a recipient email address.
Recipient: Notifications are sent to the email address of the user who configures the setting (specifically, the Marketing Cloud Engagement user email address used to access Personalization).
Condition: Emails are sent only to users who have explicitly enabled the notification setting.
Using Mailing Lists or Shared Addresses: If you wish to receive notifications at a mailing list or shared email address, you must log in to Personalization using the user account associated with that specific email address, and then enable notifications from the Guardian settings screen.
