Does Salesforce Support Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese in Relative Date Filters in Reports?

The customer reports that the “Last Week” filter in Short Simplified Chinese (上周) generates an “invalid date” error in Salesforce reports, while the same filter works correctly when using English or Traditional Chinese. However, the correct Traditional and Simplified Chinese translations for relative date filters are shown below:

Traditional Chinese:

  • Last Month → 上個月

  • Last Week → 上週

Simplified Chinese:

  • Last Month → 上个月

  • Last Week → 上星期

This behavior is expected and aligns with Salesforce’s current product design.

Lösung

To avoid the “invalid date” error, Customers should enter relative date filters using the correct Salesforce supported Chinese translations. Using unsupported formats — such as 上周 in Simplified Chinese — may result in date validation errors because these terms are not recognized by the report filter engine. This behavior is working as designed and is consistent with Salesforce’s current functionality.
